There were several notable moves this week. One of the more interesting to me is Robin Ducot, VP Web Development at Linden Lab. Robin was most recently VP Web Development at Adobe and we have been tracking her since the mid-90s (long before Adobe). Linden Lab develops a 3d virtual world called Second Life and they have been picking up some great people since we started following them back in 2004. Companies are using Second Life to host virtual trade shows and Second Life's virtual world has real world advertising.
If companies like IBM are using Second Life for trade shows, I wonder how long it will be before I get a virtual wedding or birthday invitation?
