Top Ten for the week of 11/02/2009
Lots of ex-Oracle people on the list this week, a couple of companies in between Oracle and their current position though. Some really interesting moves as well. I like Serena Software picking up John Nugent as their new CEO. We've been tracking John since 1995, for a big chunk of his 17 years at Oracle and continued on over at SAP. One thing is for sure, anyone that can survive for 17 years at Oracle in sales is very good. They don't waste time on so-so sales people. I think that John should have a big impact over at Serena. I count 65 active CEOs that are ex-Oracle in my system, not to mention the ones that have retired or dropped off my radar. They must have something in the water in Redwood Shores.
Last week I announced that I had added a new feature to my on-line database (TechnamesDB), a clickable, graphical org chart feature that is really blowing the socks off of everyone that sees it. If you are interested in checking out the new features and possibly subscribing, act now. Because of the nature of the data we collect, we are limiting the number of seats to 300 and they are rapidly filling. If you don't act now, it could be too late. For $100 per month, my clients tell me, it's a no-brainer.
